Hernandez outperformed his opponent on all fronts in the early hours of Sunday morning outlanding his opponent 120-39 in total strikes whilst also converting 9 out of 11 take down attempts and earning 7 minutes and 48 seconds of top control. Finally, finishing his opponent off with a rear-naked choke in round 4.
Marking his eighth successive victory, Hernandez was quick to demand “Man, I want a title shot. What do I gotta f---ing do?”. With the upcoming middlewight title fight between Du Plessis and Chimaev, Hernandez has thrown his name well within the mix for consideration to face the winner.
